Arapaho National Forest
The ANRA is located in the Arapaho National Forest in Grand County between the towns of Grand Lake and Granby, off U.S. Highway 34, near the west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Straddling the Continental Divide in North Central Colorado, Arapaho National Forest is known as the quiet side of Rocky Mountain National Park. And with over 1 million acres of land in the forest, there are plenty of activities to take advantage of, no matter which season you come to Arapaho National Forest.

Come visit our 80 huskies as they rest during the summer months, dreaming of snow. Learn about the care, nutrition, breeding, racing, training and history of our dogs. The summer kennel tour lasts an hour and can be scheduled for almost any day. Groups are welcome, and we have parking for buses.
In winter, our huskies run the equivalent distance of the Iditarod race in Alaska. Enjoy a half hour, one hour or one and a half hour trip pulled by eight Siberian and Alaskan huskies. Our private trail system on the edge of Winter Park offers excellent views of the valley and surrounding mountains. The trips are fun and educational for all ages and ability levels. Trips run November through April and reservations are required.

Rocky Mountain National Park
Grand Lake, CO 80447 Rocky Mountain National Park lays between Estes Park and Grand Lake. Enjoy a drive through the park during the summer month. Trail Ridge Road is closed in the winter month from mid October - mid May, however the elk and other animals may still be viewed up till Farview Curve, snow permitting.
